Bonuses

Sky Bet offers a plethora of bonuses and promotions, from price boosts on horse racing, to free bets and cross-promoted offers across their other gambling products, including Sky Casino, Sky Poker and Sky Vegas. For example, at the moment they have ‘get £30 in free bets when you place any bet’ (as part of Sky Bet’s ‘Super Week’ promotion). This applies to first single and each-way bets only, with odds of 1/1 or greater, excluding virtuals.

To meet the staking requirement you must bet a minimum of £0.05 in a single bet.

Available sports

Sky Bet’s sports betting options are varied and comprehensive, providing all of the major sports you would expect to find; with just about every sport you can watch live on Sky Sports available to bet on via Sky Bet. Additionally, Sky Bet is one of only a couple of betting sites we have reviewed that offers odds on speedway! Their sports betting options also extend to virtual sports, with virtual football, greyhounds, flat racing, jumps racing, motor racing and speedway all available.

User experience and interface

Sky Bet’s layout, design and font choices will be commonplace to sports fans who are familiar with watching Sky Sports, with the channel’s branding from their TV output. The website interface is clean, clear and effective, with the common layout of sports listed down the left hand side of the site/app, making finding your chosen sport and event simple and straightforward.

Mobile and app compatibility

The Sky Bet app is highly rated across both the App Store and Google Play Store - and for good reason. It’s clean, smooth and works well. The only minor quibble we had was during the account creation process, we were unable to make our first deposit using Apple Pay. Instead, we were required to enter our card details. However, once the account was created and the first deposit made, Apple Pay was then available for quick deposits from that point onwards.

Google Play Store: 4.5/5 stars (30.4k reviews)

VIP programmes and loyalty rewards

Sky Bet’s dedicated loyalty programme, Sky Bet Club, offers bettors the chance to unlock regular rewards, and additional offers, based on their activity on Sky Bet’s products. Customers need to opt-in and meet the requirements for eligibility within a two-week window in order to remain in the Sky Bet Club; otherwise, they will have to opt in again.

Diving deeper into Sky Bet

Licensing

Sky Bet is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission for customers in the United Kingdom. Customers outside the UK are covered by Sky Bet’s licensing with the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. Additionally, Sky Bet is also covered by the International Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS), which is an independent dispute resolution service that can help assist with queries.

Payment methods

Sky Bet prefers its account management to be tied to debit cards and has phased out e-wallet services including Google Pay and PayPal. This means that you must have a debit card registered to your account, though if you have Apple Pay, you can use that facility once your card is registered on your account.

Security and fairness

The sign-up process we experienced via the Sky Bet app required us to provide additional security information such as personal questions, a username and a pin number, which all added to the time it took to get set up, but also gave added peace of mind that Sky Bet are taking account security seriously.

Responsible gambling measures

Sky Bet has invested much of its television advertising in promoting its safer gambling measures, fronted by Sky Sports’ famous presenter Jeff Stelling. These measures include an array of helpful tools to ensure you stay safe while betting with them. Which includes: a profit/loss calculator, deposit limits, cool-off periods, self-exclusion options and reality checks. Sky Bet also offers gambling support from trained staff via their live chat facility, as well as links to external tools, software and resources.

The external responsible gambling resources are thanks to Sky Sports partnering with: BeGambleAware.org, National Gambling Helpline, GamStop, Gordon Moody, Gamban, Safer Gambling Standard and TakeTimeToThink.

Sky Bet FAQs

Is Sky Bet legit?

Yes. Sky Sports is one of the most recognisable brands for sport in the UK, and their betting products are closely tied to Sky Sports’ TV output. The betting site and app is considered to be one of the best in the UK.

How can I contact customer support at Sky Bet?

The link to Sky Bet’s help section can be found in the left-hand navigation bar as well as the footer of the website and app. This will take you to a comprehensive set of articles and information pages that may be able to answer your query. However, if the Q&A’s are not sufficient, you can chat with customer services over the phone, through live chat, Facebook Messenger, or via X. There is also a dedicated separate live chat for responsible gambling conversations.

How do I reset my password at Sky Bet?

Sky Bet operates a PIN number instead of a password, and that can be changed via the ‘your account’ section of the website and app. Go to ‘your account’, select ‘account settings’, and you will find an option to edit your PIN.
