What are Sporting Index all about?
Bonuses
Sporting Index only offered two bonuses, one for new fixed-odds customers and one for spread betting customers. The ‘Bet £10, Get £20’ offer is decent enough to get you started and is a reasonably competitive welcome bonus in the market.
Available sports
Sporting Index offers a strong slate of sports to bet on but is somewhat lacking when it comes to some of the niche sports you’ll find elsewhere. That’s likely due to the site being born and bred in the UK and never really needing to tap into markets like Nordic sports or Scandinavian favourites like trotting and bandy. If you’re keen to bet on those, you’ll need to look elsewhere. But for most of the mainstream stuff, you’ll be well-catered for here.
User experience and interface
We really like the navy blue colourway of the Sporting Index site. It’s a little different from most other sites out there, without being in your face and garish. The layout is packed with information, which is just fine if you’re an experienced bettor, but may be a touch daunting for newbies. Throw in the fact that the site also includes bet spreads as well as fixed-odds markets and it means your screen can look like a sea of numbers at times.
Mobile and app compatibility
The app offers a solid alternative to the desktop website. While the app can look a little crowded for less experienced bettors, we found it was much easier to toggle between bet spreads and fixed-odds on the app. Making that a real benefit for those who want to steer clear of the spread betting aspect of Sporting Index’s site/app. The app has received solid, if unspectacular reviews on Google Play, but much better ones on Apple’s App Store.
