JeffBet is a ProgressPlay online UK casino. These websites all state the same aim: “to provide quality entertainment to people who enjoy gambling”, in an environment that’s “safe, fun, fair, regulated and secure”.
The casino isn’t as big as some ProgressPlay brands – it features around 1,600 games. Compare that to the 4,000 or so offered by 21LuckyBet casino, for instance.
However, they’ve certainly ticked the “quality” box, with over 60 of the world’s biggest casino game developers represented, including Microgaming, NetEnt and Playtech.
Licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, JeffBet is definitely a safe and secure casino. Its welcome bonus is pretty nice, too.
Bonuses
Upon registration, I was pleased to see a 100% deposit match welcome bonus (up to £100) plus 50 free spins on Rainbow Riches Megaways. UK casino bonuses tend to be pretty small – this is bigger than average.
The terms and conditions are standard, with a wagering requirement of 35x the combined deposit and bonus amounts. I’d prefer something smaller, but this is quite normal.
There are several more rewarding promotions to get your teeth into:
- Mystery Box. Available daily from Monday to Thursday. Deposit £20 or more to open the Mystery Box and win up to 400 free spins.
- Reload bonuses. Check the “Promotions” page to see what reload offers are in store. You can usually pick up 25 free spins for a £10 deposit on featured slots.
- Wheel of Spins. Two separate wheels – one midweek, one weekend – offer reload bonuses of up to 500 free spins.
- Monthly deals. Take advantage of fresh rewards every month. At the time of writing, JeffBet offers up to 360 free spins and £750 across 12 reload bonuses.
Available games
With roughly 1,600 games in the library, JeffBet isn’t as big as some UK casinos. However, the most important bases are all covered.
The majority of games are online slots, supplied by the industry’s leading names. Play’n GO contributes over 270 titles, for instance, including classics like Book Of Dead.
Other notable providers include NetEnt (60+ games) and Pragmatic Play (200+) – good news for fans of Starburst, Gonzo’s Quest and the Big Bass Bonanza series.
Supporting these are dozens of RNG table games, plus more than 130 “Casual” games. This is a huge collection of scratch cards, crash games and other quick-fire betting opportunities, from premium providers.
The JeffBet live casino is powered by Playtech and Evolution, ensuring real table games and game shows of the highest quality.

I don’t have much to say on the user experience. The layout is identical to most ProgressPlay sites – if you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all.
It’s not a bad thing, though. It doesn’t take more than a couple of minutes to register, for instance.
You’ll have no trouble with the intuitive and straightforward cashier, either. And the classic site layout features a familiar left-hand navigation tree that takes you where you need to go.
Click “Games” to see a scrollable list of every title. The search bar is helpful, but I’d really like to see some filters added, to drill down into different categories. There’s no easy way to look up bonus buy slots, or search by volatility, for example.
Mobile and app compatibility
JeffBet Casino doesn’t offer apps, so don’t expect to see native software for Android and iOS.
Still, I don’t care much for downloading and installing clunky apps anyway – I prefer well-designed mobile casinos like this. It’s responsive, so it’ll optimise itself according to your device’s screen size, and I’m yet to encounter any glitches.
VIP programmes and loyalty rewards
Tap the trophy symbol at the top of the page to learn more about JeffBet Casino’s simple loyalty program.
You’re given a series of tasks to complete – basic things like playing a certain number of games, or wagering a specific amount. For each one you finish, you’ll earn points – these move you up through six levels.
As you progress, you’ll unlock tougher tasks with greater rewards. You can also trade points for bonus money in the store.
Diving deeper into JeffBet
Licencing
JeffBet is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, through ProgressPlay Limited.
I confirmed this on the regulator’s official website – everything checks out. The remote license number is 039335-R-319313-020.
It’s not required to operate in the UK, but ProgressPlay also boasts a license from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA/B2C/231/2012). As one of the strictest regulators in the world, this accreditation further illustrates how trustworthy the operator is.
Payment methods
A wide variety of secure and convenient payment methods gives you plenty of choice.
Visa and Mastercard debit cards are an option, alongside Neosurf vouchers, PayviaPhone and e-wallets like PayPal, Neteller and Skrill.
The minimum deposit limit for most is just £10 – ideal for casual players – while high rollers can add up to £5,000.
Withdrawals are pretty quick at JeffBet Casino. The team processed my debit card request within four hours, so I got the money in my bank account on the same day.
However, the big negative here is the 1% fee applied to all payouts. At least it’s capped at £3, but there shouldn’t really be any charges.
Software providers
I counted more than 60 different software providers. These include genuine industry giants, like Playtech and Evolution in the live casino, and Microgaming, Greentube and Pragmatic Play elsewhere.
These are supported by award-winning studios like Play’n GO, Synot and Hacksaw Gaming.
Security and fairness
The JeffBet Casino website mentions128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption and firewall technology, designed to protect your sensitive data.
In addition, you’ll only find reputable international payment processors in the cashier, such as Visa, Mastercard and Neteller.
JeffBet takes its casino games from dozens of top developers, all of which certify their products with independent software testing houses. You can be sure they’re random and tamper-proof.
Responsible gambling measures
JeffBet, like all ProgressPlay casinos, takes its social responsibility very seriously. Along with strict identity checks, ensuring no underage players slip through, there’s a very good selection of responsible gambling tools available.
Tap the “Play Responsibly” link from the left-hand navigation menu to reveal seven different options, including:
- Session expiry. Set the number of minutes before JeffBet casino logs you out.
- Deposit limits. Daily, weekly, monthly fields – enter sums of any size, as you wish.
- Timeout. Take a temporary break for anywhere between 1 and 42 days.
- Self-exclusion. A ban from all ProgressPlay brands for at least 6 months.
As with all casinos licensed by the Gambling Commission, JeffBet is affiliated with GAMSTOP, the nationwide self-exclusion program.
I must confess, JeffBet Casino had flown under my radar prior to writing this review, so I wasn’t expecting much.
However, I recognised the familiar ProgressPlay platform straight away, which cheered me up. You always get a user-friendly site and a chunky game library from this well-known operator.
Of course, JeffBet has its negatives, and they’re the same as every other ProgressPlay brand. A 1% withdrawal fee, no mobile app and a lack of game filters in the lobby.
Weighed up against the many benefits, though – a strong welcome bonus, low transaction limits and same-day withdrawals – I’ll certainly be back again in future.
