Over 1.5 Manchester United offsides vs Leicester – 11/10 – BetMGM

A couple of weeks back in this column, I highlighted Leicester’s high defensive line under Ruud van Nistelrooy and they duly caught Tottenham offside five times in that game.

They’ve since made the trip to Everton who were flagged three times and so they now draw an average of 2.17 offsides per game under the Dutchman’s stewardship with seven of their last eight opponents having had at least two.

United themselves have been caught offside just 1.38 times per game this season, however, since Ruben Amorim took charge, that average has climbed to 1.92 in Premier League games.

They’ve been caught going early at least twice in six of their last eight matches in all competitions, so this feels a nice price to be getting for Leicester to continue their successful offside trap.

This game also forms part of our four-fold weekly acca, with goals expected at Old Trafford.

Victor Torp over 1.5 shots for Coventry vs Ipswich – 29/20 – BetMGM

Victor Torp is enjoying life under Frank Lampard, averaging 2.34 shots per 90 for his new boss.

The Dane has clearly been inspired by Lampard’s playing days as a goalscoring midfielder, as he’s had at least one shot in all but one appearance under him with 13 in his last six games, scoring twice against Watford to boot.

He’s also had five shots from free kicks under Lampard and so will be on those too if any are in shooting range.

History is against Ipswich as they have not gone beyond this stage of the competition since 2007 and they will also have their focus elsewhere with a relegation battle on their hands.

Domestically, the Tractor Boys are conceding 15 shots per game on the road and with first team players likely to be rested for the relegation run-in.

Coventry can expect plenty of opportunities to attack, hopefully with a few of those chances falling to Torp.

Over 1.5 Plymouth offsides vs Liverpool – 10/13 - BetMGM

Yet another team who have recently changed manager, Plymouth are starting to show signs of life under Miron Muslic.

When analysing their data from his short time in charge, one thing that stands out straight away is the number of offsides as there’s been 4.6 per game in total.

Plymouth have been responsible for the majority of those with 14 in their last four games, landing this bet in all four of those matches.

Liverpool will likely dominate this game and while Plymouth won’t get many chances to attack when they do, they’ll have to contend with a high defensive line.

Arne Slot’s men are drawing 2.61 offsides per game with 16 of their last 18 opponents being flagged at least twice.

In the previous round, despite having just 21% possession, Accrington were caught offside twice and so even a lack of possession should see Plymouth cover this line.

Odds correct at the time of writing.
