Liverpool vs Paris-Saint Germain tips and predictions: Ligue 1 giants hope to overturn deficit in crunch Anfield clash
Liverpool state of play
In one of the biggest games of the Champions League last 16 second-leg ties, Arne Slot continues to mastermind a mightily impressive Liverpool campaign.
Paris Saint-Germain battered the Reds in their last-16 first-leg showdown, but the Dutchman keeps finding a way to grind out results.

The Ligue 1 heavyweights were dominant throughout, with 27 shots. Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson had to make nine saves during a virtuoso performance between the sticks.
But PSG couldn't find an opener - and Liverpool snatched a winner with their second shot of the night in the 87th minute.
Harvey Elliott - who has played a peripheral role this season - was the goal scorer after replacing Egyptian ace Mohamed Salah.
The Premier League title increasingly looks like a foregone conclusion - with Betfred already paying out the Reds to win the trophy. Liverpool secured another top-flight win on Saturday with a 3-1 victory over lowly Southampton.
Paris Saint-Germain state of play
Luis Enrique's men looked bewildered and shell-shocked after the first leg.
PSG forwards Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia were unplayable at times and gave Liverpool plenty of scares. Kvaratskhelia had a goal in the first half rightly disallowed by the video assistant referee (VAR) for offside.
Since their Qatari takeover 14 years ago, PSG have struggled to meet expectations in the Champions League.
They remain a dominant force in Ligue 1, though, with a huge lead over Marseille and Nice who are jockeying for second spot.
A 4-1 triumph over Rennes in their last top flight fixture was a 20th win of the campaign.
Key talking point: Can PSG bounce back at Anfield?
There aren’t many stadiums that can match Anfield for atmosphere under the lights on a European night. And, crucially, it’s intimidating for visiting sides.
But PSG were by far the better team in the first leg last week - despite the final result.
Dembele, who has found a new lease of life under Enrique, is finally looking like the real deal. His dribbling had the Reds back line sweating, especially in the first half.
Kvaratskhelia, a January acquisition from Serie A side Napoli, was incredibly dangerous when attacking too. PSG also finished the match with a whopping 70% possession.
But of course, that all counts for nothing, and they were ultimately made to pay for not taking their chances.
The question is, can they dust themselves down and find another gear on Merseyside?
FIRST’s top tip for Liverpool vs PSG
Mohamed Salah first goal scorer at 18/5 (Bet442)
The veteran Liverpool star didn’t find his groove last week and his second-half replacement, Elliot, was the eventual match winner.
Salah was unable to impose himself on the match and was expertly defended by full back Nuno Mendes.
The experienced attacker had just 41 touches, failed to complete either of his two crosses or his solitary long ball. He also lost all eight of his duels and surrendered possession 16 times.
But write off the Salah at your peril. He's having a wonderful campaign, bagged a brace against Southampton, and on home soil, will have a point to prove in the Champions League.
Extra tips
Ousmane Dembele anytime goalscorer at 33/20 (BetMGM)
You just can’t ignore the Frenchman this season. He was a constant threat in the first leg and is enjoying a superb Ligue 1 campaign.
Last season, the 27-year-old managed a meagre three top-flight goals. It’s a different story this time round, and he’s currently on 28 in all competitions, including two against Rennes in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
Ibrahima Konate yellow card at 3/1 (Bet442)
Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate escaped a red card in the first leg for a push on Bradley Barcola in the opening 45 minutes.
The incident was checked by VAR, but officials decided against any further action after a lengthy review. PSG will look to get under the former RB Leipzig's star's skin at Anfield.
Team news
For Liverpool, Joe Gomez and Tyler Morton are both long-term casualties. Conor Bradley could soon return to the fold after being sidelined for a few weeks.
Cody Gakpo, meanwhile, is expected to feature after missing the PSG first leg and the Southampton game.
Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz, Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes and Gianluigi Donnarumma were all rested for Saturday's fixture with Rennes and are set to return to the fold at Anfield.
