IMAGO Arsenal and Chelsea lock horns at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday 16 March

With Liverpool meeting Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final action (and off in the distance anyway), the Premier League interest this weekend comes in the battle for Champions League football.

Second-place Arsenal host Chelsea, who are just six points behind them. Below them, Brighton can leapfrog Manchester City into the top five by winning at the Etihad Stadium. Which could well mean Champions League qualification come the end of the season.

Everton vs West Ham betting tips

David Moyes welcomes former club West Ham to Goodison Park, with the teams side-by-side in the table. Their similarities were highlighted by their 0-0 draw at the London Stadium in November.

But that was a battle between Julen Lopetegui and Sean Dyche. Both teams have looked more potent since appointing new managers.

If you look at the both teams to score table for 2024/25, you will find Everton joint-bottom. However, a glance at the form table for the last eight games has them joint-top.

This selection has paid out in the Toffees’ last five games, so keep backing it.

Scoreline prediction

Everton 2-1 West Ham (19/2 with Matchbook)

FIRST’s top tip:

Both teams to score: Yes (19/20 with Vegasland)

Ipswich vs Nottingham Forest betting tips

None of the previous four clashes between Ipswich and Nottingham Forest saw more than two goals. This match should be livelier.

Forest’s recent away games have been goal-crazy. While they will surely win here, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have recently conceded a lot of goals on the road.

The total stands at 11 in the last three matches, a third of their tally for the whole campaign.

Ipswich have lost their last four games at Portman Road, with only one seeing fewer than four goals. Forest can soak up pressure, hit them on the break and ensure we see several goals.

Scoreline prediction

Ipswich 0-3 Nottingham Forest (14/1 with Luckster)

FIRST’s top tip:

Over 2.5 goals (9/11 with Spinzwin)

Manchester City vs Brighton betting tips

Patrons at the Etihad Stadium have been treated to plenty of goals. Manchester City have recorded three 3-1 wins within their last six home games, a sequence also including a 4-0 thumping of Newcastle.

Brighton’s recent away games have been similarly entertaining, with several 2-1s and a 4-0 win at Southampton.

City have seen over 3.5 goals in 54 percent of their home league games in 2024/25, the second highest proportion in the division. With the Seagulls seeing this outcome in half of their away matches, it’s the sensible play.

Scoreline prediction

Manchester City 3-1 Brighton (10/1 with Spreadex)

FIRST’s top tip:

Over 3.5 goals (21/20 with Bet442)

Southampton vs Wolves betting tips

This match features as one of three in our Premier League prop betting tips article this week, with a Wolves forward backed to be on target.

Wolves have won their last four visits to Southampton. They prevailed in the previous three meetings at Molineux too.

The Saints lost their last eight league matches at St Mary’s Stadium, with only an FA Cup victory over Swansea breaking a sequence of 10 consecutive home losses in all competitions.

While the visitors have been inconsistent, Wolves have won three away games since Southampton last won in front of their own fans in the league.

They’ve also drawn at Brighton and Tottenham and held Liverpool shotless in the second half at Anfield.

At the prices available, back Wolves to win and move on. No further thought needed.

Scoreline prediction

Southampton 0-2 Wolves (17/2 with Mr.Play)

FIRST’s top tip:

Wolves to win (Evens with BetMGM)

Bournemouth vs Brentford betting tips

Brentford arrive at Bournemouth having won their last four Premier League away games. This record needs putting into context though – of the teams beaten, only Crystal Palace are outside the bottom five and they’re in mid-table.

The Bees have taken a solitary point from six away games against current top half sides.

The only home defeat Bournemouth have suffered to a team below sixth was hugely influenced by playing the final hour with 10 men.

Bournemouth can end their recent poor record against Brentford in what should be an entertaining match.

Scoreline prediction

Bournemouth 2-1 Brentford (13/2 with Zetbet)

FIRST’s top tip:

Bournemouth win and over 2.5 goals (11/8 with Matchbook)

Arsenal vs Chelsea betting tips

Considering their reputation for set piece potency, you might assume Arsenal are top for corners this season.

Yet both Manchester City and Tottenham have had more. The Gunners’ true superpower when it comes to corners is that they have conceded at least 20 fewer than every other side.

Arsenal’s games have averaged 9.4 corners, the fewest in the division. Chelsea, on 9.6, are just above them. As five of the last six league meetings saw fewer than 10, take a low corner total for this one.

Scoreline prediction

Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea (13/2 with Bet442)

FIRST’s top tip:

Under 9.5 corners (10/11 with Spreadex)

Fulham vs Tottenham betting tips

Twelve months ago, Fulham beat Tottenham 3-0 at Craven Cottage. The bookmakers expect Marco Silva’s men to triumph again and you won’t get any argument against that here.

One of the games in our weekly acca tips this week, Fulham are the fourth best side in the Premier League this season according to the underlying numbers, which suggest they’ve won 10 points fewer than they’ve deserved.

Spurs have no such bad luck, deserving to be in the bottom half of the table.

While Fulham lost last weekend, they took the lead at Brighton through Raul Jimenez. He looks a good bet to score here too.

The Mexican has netted four times against Tottenham (albeit all for his former club Wolves) and has amassed the seventh most expected goals in the top flight in 2025.

Scoreline prediction

Fulham 2-1 Tottenham (13/2 with Vegasland)

FIRST’s top tip:

Raul Jimenez to score anytime (11/8 with BetMGM)

Leicester vs Manchester United betting tips

Unlike most other teams, Leicester must be sick of the sight of Manchester United. Thanks to meeting in both cups, they’ve lost to the struggling Red Devils three times within the last five months.

While all three clashes took place at Old Trafford, the aggregate scoreline was 10-3 to United. They have seldom been so free-scoring against anyone in 2024/25.

The only visiting team in the last 11 matches at the King Power Stadium who didn’t score twice somehow managed not to, despite having 31 shots. United should enjoy a fourth win of the campaign against the Foxes.

Scoreline prediction

Leicester 1-3 Manchester United (31/2 with Matchbook)

FIRST’s top tip:

Manchester United win and over 2.5 goals (17/10 with Mr.Play)
