Jennie Gow F1 predictions: Dutch GP betting tips, odds and race preview
Formula One state of play
Drivers diving, swimming, yachting, sunbathing, golfing, clubbing, meditating, and of course, training.
Another summer break is over (with the obligatory Insta photos posted) and now it’s back to one of the most aggressive ends to a season in the history of the sport, with 10 races in 15 weeks. F1 is definitely back.

ICYMI: Oscar Piastri leads the Championship with a nine-point advantage over his McLaren teammate, Lando Norris.
The Woking based team have dominated the Constructors Championship this year with more points than closest rivals Ferrari and Mercedes put together - keeping an eye on car upgrades is one sure fire way of performance analysis to make better bets.
They’ve won 11 of the first 14 races, earning 26 podiums this year. Phenomenal stats, meaning they could wrap up the title in just three races time – Baku.
Meanwhile, Cadillac, the new team on the grid in 2026, have announced their driver line-up with the familiar faces of Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez returning to racing next year.

So, it’s onto a double-header of the Dutch and Italian GP’s with Zandvoort the first challenge for the 20 drivers taking to the grid this week.
Last year, Norris beat Verstappen to the win and with three wins from the last four races, Norris must go into this race as favourite.

Dutch Grand Prix predictions
McLaren holds such an advantage it’s hard to see past another 1-2 for the team. Piastri will be keen to find his momentum and reestablish his lead in the Championship.
If he takes pole, it’s hard to see anyone else winning, but my money is on Norris starting the second half of the season as he ended the first half. Closing the gap to two points.
Max Verstappen has won three times at his home GP, and as usual, will always be a threat. With the weather (potentially cold and wet) George Russell has to be an option for best of the rest.
The track is 4.259 kilometres long, running through the dunes on the North Sea coast, just under 40km’s from the Dutch capital, Amsterdam.
There are two banked corners which generate very high vertical and lateral loads on the tyres, meaning teams need to pay attention to set-up and management of the car-tyre package. The aerodynamic downforce level required is very high, like Budapest.
Track conditions can be F1’s great equaliser - this circuit usually offers low levels of grip, made worse by sand blown onto the surface by the coastal winds. Being just a few hundred metres from the North Sea, the weather can be very changeable, and, at the end of summer, temperatures often fall below 20 °C.
Tyres are a step softer than last year, with the C2 tyre the hardest option, C3 as the medium, and the C4 the softest tyre.
Another attempt by Pirelli and the FIA to make it a two-stop race rather than the more favoured one-stop since the race returned to the calendar in 2022.
The pit lane speed limit will also increase from 60km/h to 80 km/h. Despite all these measures, with overtaking at Zandvoort rated difficult, I’m still expecting most teams to opt for a one-stop strategy.
FIRST’s top tip for Dutch GP
I’m going strong this race by backing Norris for doing the big three – Fastest in qualifying, fastest lap of the race and race winner.
That’s not the grand slam as that would mean he also led the race from start to finish, which I can’t see happening with the gap between him and his teammate so tight.
Pick: Hat Trick (Qualifying win, race win and fastest lap) Lando Norris - 5/1 (10bet)

Extra tips
Sauber scoring: The Swiss-based team has scored 45 points in the last six races, picking up points with at least one driver in every race since Spain. I see them collecting more points this weekend.
Points finish: Nico Hulkenberg - 9/4 (10bet)
Points finish: Gabriel Bortoleto - 7/4 (10bet)
Doubles point finish: Sauber - 4/1 (Ladbrokes)

Ollie Bearman back: Will young Brit Ollie Bearman get back to scoring this weekend? It’s been a while, and he was forced to retire last time out in Hungary with a technical issue.
Bahrain was his last scoring race (round 4) and he’ll be keen to re-start the season strongly.
Points finish: Ollie Bearman - 9/4 (Ladbrokes)
McLaren title: We all know McLaren will win the title but WHEN? They are currently averaging 39.93 points per race.
(Ferrari 18.57 per round) If the teams carry on at this rate, then by the end of Baku, McLaren would be Champions. It’s a bit of a long shot but I can’t see them failing in any of the next few races.

Safety car: Despite the narrow track, safety cars haven’t been used too many times in recent years with the chances at 33% - low.
Pick: Safety car - No - 7/4 (10bet)

All 20-car finish? I think this is very unlikely. The grand prix in Belgium was the last event not to have any retirements but it was a sprint weekend, and the sprint race did have a retirement (Pierre Gasly).
There has only been one other GP this season where all 20 cars have been classified, that was back in round three, Japan!
Pick: Number of classified drivers - Under 17.5 - 8/11 (10bet)
