But if the upper-end of the forecast rain hits the track then that would have to sound alarm bells for the hat-trick-seeking Winds Of Winter, and instead I would much rather side with the claims with the Lucinda Russell trained six-year-old, SPIT SPOT.

The mare has plenty of smart form with cut in the ground, so if underfoot conditions do materialise onto the slow side, then that can only aid the cause for this daughter of Sir Percy as she returns to Handicap company. 

The smart Patrick Wadge is in the saddle and this combination look to have major claims and she looks more than capable of serving it up to the protagonists who would be very happy if the rain stays away. 

If she arrives in the same vein of form as she did when she hacked up at Musselburgh on her penultimate start, she will be thoroughly involved at the business end of proceedings.

Haydock - 4.10 La Cadalora - 15/8 Coral

LA CADALORA can land this Fillies' Handicap over an extended 1m3f, with the drop back in trip a key factor here for the James Fanshawe trained runner. 

William Buick takes over in the saddle for the first time, as she goes in search of her first victory after five starts, and I think she will be much happier in this scenario. 

She didn't shape as though she excelled for the step up to the extended St Leger trip at Doncaster last time out, as it looked as though the petrol light came on in the hard yards of that contest as she weakened into third.

So naturally, with less taxation on stamina here, I can only see it benefitting her in regards to her claims of winning this. 

It is also worth pointing out that the form of that Doncaster run is working out really well, with the two individuals that were ahead of her on that occasion both going on to win again since. So collateral form certainly has a robust look to it, and La Cadalora shouldn't be far away.

Yarmouth - 4.32 Inquisition - 11/8 Coral

Top pilot Ryan Moore is booked to ride INQUISITION in this Handicap over 1m2f and she can make it back to back successes here. 

The filly appeared to really enjoy the step up in trip to a similar one to this when winning nicely at Wolverhampton last time out. She can defy the 5lb hike in the weights with the maestro Moore in the saddle, and the potential for any amount of improvement. 

She ran a really good race when second at this venue on her penultimate start, and now she is learning to settle she can offer much more over this trip as her pedigree suggests. 

This daughter of Sea The Stars gets the nod from me in an encounter where there don't appear to be a whole bunch of progressive sorts in opposition. As such the Cheveley Park representative could prove very hard to beat for the James Fanshawe outfit.
