Cheltenham - 1.45 Inishcorker e/w

14/1 @ Coral

When it comes to producing a smart stayer, Rebecca Curtis has a good track record, and the youngster INISHCORKER could be the next cab off the rank for the Welsh handler.

A winner of an Irish point-to-point at Ballyvodock, he is a son of Jukebox Jury out of a presenting mare, and connections will be having dreams of him making up into a top performer in the Novice Hurdle ranks this season.

The superstar Sean Bowen has been booked for this assignment, and one would have thought that it would have been easier to have found a more low-key introduction than this for a Hurdling and Stable debut, so the fact that they rock up here clearly speaks volumes about this individual's work at home.

With a good run here, he could easily make up into an Albert Bartlett contender this season.

Cheltenham - 2.55 Gowel Road e/w

14/1 @ William Hill

GOWEL ROAD is a tough and resolute individual who represents the Nigel and William Twiston-Davies team, who are in red-hot form at present.

The local yard are operating around a 30% strike-rate for October, and the top weight can get in the mix once again at a track where he has some smart course form.

He found the Stayers' Hurdle too much, but that race aside, he has run some absolute belters at the venue, and despite the hike up in the weights, he looks sure to give his running with Sam Twiston-Davies in the plate.

Gowel Road has a decent record when fresh, and first-time out for the season may well be the time to catch this nine-year-old who could easily have more to offer.

Cheltenham - 4.05 Pied Piper

9/2 @ Ladbrokes

PIED PIPER is a class act on his day, as an individual who is still unexposed over this trip, he has to be taken seriously returning to Prestbury Park.

The seven-year-old has a terrific record at Cheltenham; five visits have yielded two wins and three placed efforts, so he clearly comes alive at this venue. He has found life too tough in Graded company recently, but this smaller-field scenario should really suit, and it would be far from a shock if he were to bring his A-game here.

Jack Kennedy takes the ride, and with track and ground to suit, a bold show has to be on the cards. On ratings he is the class act, and with a clear round, I wouldn't be surprised if he stamped his authority on this field with the Elliott team in sparkling form at present.
