Club World Cup 2025: Europe leads special betting markets

As the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup approaches, UK bookmakers have begun rolling out all-new markets tailored to the US-based tournament.

The unique nature of this four-week competition allows for fresh betting options – with bookies supplying odds across ‘winning continent’, ‘winning confederation’ and ‘winning nationality’, among other specialised niche listings.

Here, we evaluate a spectrum of potentially lucrative Club World Cup markets.

Winning Continent – Europe leads odds

Generally speaking, European teams are considered heavy favourites over clubs from other continents.

This is proven by BetMGM’s and bet365’s odds on which continent will win this year’s Club World Cup, as Europe comes in at 1/14.

Manchester City, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and 2024/25 Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain stand as Europe’s most feared outfits – with all four sides eager to stamp their authority on FIFA’s debut Club World Cup.

While Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are held in lower regard compared to the aforementioned clubs, bettors would be wise to anticipate a deep run for any from this trio.

South America, represented by the likes of Fluminense, Palmeiras, River Plate, Flamengo, Boca Juniors and Botafogo RJ, sits next in line at 8/1 with bet365.

Tournament victory for sides heralding from North America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East is not expected by bookmakers – all priced at 16/1.

Winning Confederation – UEFA on top

UEFA is home to a wealth of leading European powers, including domestic league champions and continental winners.

At 1/14 to win the Club World Cup, Ladbrokes and Coral each anticipate a strong showing from the organisation’s representatives.

On the other end of the scale, Oceania’s OFC is priced by Coral at 1,000/1 – with New Zealand’s Auckland FC the authority’s sole competitor.

CONMEBOL (7/1), AFC (28/1), CONCACAF (33/1) and CAF (100/1) round out the remaining confederations. All odds are available via Ladbrokes and Coral

Winning Nationality – Spain and England ahead

Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid constitute La Liga’s Club World Cup competitors – with the latter being a strong favourite to win the entire competition. As such, some bookies have the Spanish outfit to win the tournament at 13/5.

Close behind is England (16/5), benefitting from the presence of Manchester City and Chelsea.

France (9/2) is expected to put forth a serious challenge for a gold medal by way of PSG, while Germany (5/1) and Italy (8/1) have also submitted powerful contenders.

A bet on ‘any other nation’ to win the Club World Cup (9/1) is better value for money than backing Brazil (10/1), Portugal (20/1) or Argentina (20/1) – as the former selection widens the net of potential results in your favour.
