Darwin Nunez next club odds: Atletico, Napoli and Leverkusen interested

Darwin Nunez is likely to leave Liverpool, as the Premier League champions look to rebuild the team for the 2025/26 season.

Having made most of his appearances from the bench this season, and failing to consistently impact the game when called upon, the Uruguayan is widely expected to move on.

His spell at the Reds has seen a bit of everything, from the spectacular to the outright terrible, but the 25-year-old still has a lot to offer for another team.

But where will the striker end up?

Like any top flight player that’s available, it is the Saudi League that lead the way at 6/4, with the option of any club.

Nunez would likely be a hit in the Middle East, with his quality being better than most in the league, bar the heavy hitters such as Karim Benzema.

If Al-Nassr are to lose Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer, he could potentially be an option for a team that has plenty of money to play with.

Alongside the Saudi League are Atletico Madrid (6/4), who are joint-favourites to land the Uruguayan’s signature.

With a relentless work rate and plenty of physicality in his game, he could be the perfect fit for a Diego Simeone side.

The legendary manager could refine his technical side, as well as getting out the best from his physical attributes.

Whether Atletico could afford what Liverpool want would be a different issue, but the Rojiblancos have been known to spend big on the right players.

Liverpool could be spending a lot of money on Florian Wirtz, and therefore Nunez may be used as a part of that deal, with Bayer Leverkusen 5/1 to gain the striker.

Erik Ten Hag will want to make his mark on his new team, and the striker may be the way for him to do that.

Fresh from winning Serie A, Napoli (5/1) will be looking to potentially run their own mini-rebuild similar to the Reds, which Nunez may feature in.

The success of Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku in Naples shows that poor form in England does not mean you will fail in Italy, and this could be the move to get the former Benfica man back on track.

Chelsea (14/1) and AC Milan (16/1) are outsiders for the striker, with the former likely to not need the Uruguayan after securing the signing of Liam Delap, while the latter’s ability to do the deal will hinder entirely on finances.

There have been rumours around Liverpool looking at Rafael Leao, so we may see Nunez be used as a big part of the deal used to bring the Portuguese forward to Anfield.

Arsenal (16/1) desperately need a striker, but it’s unlikely to be Nunez, whose inconsistency is not what the Gunners need.

If Alexander Isak leaves Newcastle, the Liverpool striker could become an option to replace the Swedish striker at 16/1 but that will be a waiting game rather than an outright target.
