Yoane Wissa next club odds: Could Brentford star be on the move?
Change is in the air at Brentford and Yoane Wissa could be the next high-profile departure from the West London club.
The Congolese forward has been strongly tipped for a switch away from the Gtech Community Stadium following another successful campaign in red and white.

Wissa spearheaded the Bees’ frontline last season, amassing 20 goals and five assists across all competitions.
However, with fellow forward Bryan Mbuemo set for an imminent move to Manchester United and former manager Thomas Frank having already left for Tottenham, the 28-year-old now also looks set for the exit door.
Another London club in Crystal Palace are the current 5/2 favourites to land his signature, according to bookmaker Ladbrokes. The Eagles secured their first ever trophy when they won the FA Cup back in May and are targeting another strong season under Oliver Glasner.
And with first-choice striker Jean-Philippe Mateta’s future up in the air, a new striker may well be top of the Austrian manager’s list.
Tottenham are also a leading candidate, coming in at 4/1 with Ladbrokes and Coral. Led by Wissa’s former boss Frank, Spurs are in dire need of bolstering their attacking ranks after a dismal Premier League campaign which saw them record a 17th-placed finish last term.
Scoring goals was a major problem, too. Only Brennan Johnson ended the campaign with goals in double figures (11). Forward Dominic Solanke, who signed for £65 million last summer, was second with nine to his name.
And so it’s easy to understand the appeal of Wissa, who has totalled 31 goals in his last two league seasons. His relationship with new Spurs manager Frank could also be a defining factor in choosing his next destination, should he indeed depart from Brentford.
Aston Villa are distant third favourites, currently sitting at a relatively wide 9/2 (Ladbrokes). Following the departure of Jhon Duran in January, Ollie Watkins remains the only true out-and-out striker in Unai Emery’s squad.
Marcus Rashford, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Villa Park, also appears unlikely to put pen to paper. Add in the rarity of Premier League proven strikers currently on the market and Wissa may suddenly become a welcome commodity to Spanish manager Emery.
Other London clubs in Arsenal (5/1, Ladbrokes) and West Ham (8/1, Ladbrokes) are also distant outsiders. The Gunners’ problems in front of goal have been well-documented and largely contributed to their failure to close the gap on eventual league winners Liverpool last season.
The likes of Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko appear to be higher on Mikel Arteta’s list, though recent reports suggest the north London club could now be exploring options elsewhere.
West Ham also struggled to meet expectations last season. Big summer signing Niclas Fullkrug was blighted by injury and scored just three times, while Evan Ferguson, who spent the second half of last season on loan from Brighton, also found the net just once.
All in all, there are plenty of potential suitors should Wissa indeed opt to follow the likes of Frank and Mbuemo out of the exit door.
