What are AK Bets all about?

Bonuses

AK Bets’ welcome offer for new customers is a nice variation to the usual bonuses. You can earn up to £100 in free bets after placing your first bet. Place a bet on any sport (minimum three selections) with minimum odds of evens (2.0) and you can boost your profits by 25 per cent (up to £100). Just make sure you use the promo code AKACCA100. The free bet will be credited within 24 hours of the qualifying bet settling and it’ll expire after seven days.

Available sports

AK Bets have all of the main sports including football, horse racing and tennis covered but they don’t have too many markets for niche sports. They also don’t have esports coverage on their site.

Their football coverage is pretty good and they’ve got most main markets covered. You can combine selections into a bet builder and they have ‘player to score’ and ‘player to be carded’ markets, however, they don’t offer much in the way of player shots on target or player fouls.

It’s worth noting that when you’re on a certain game looking at markets, there is a message saying ‘other markets are available on request via our trader chat’. You can request certain bets and they will price it up for you if possible.

When you head to their football page, there are quick links to create accumulators on certain markets. Match result, both teams to score, over/under goals, draw no bet, first half result and match result/both teams to score are all covered.

Their horse racing page looks slick and is easy on the eye, especially with the price history graph of every runner showing if they’re strong in the market, but they could do with a few more markets as you can only back the winner, forecasts and tricasts.

AK Bets’ in-play tab is solid and the live tracker for football games and tennis matches is pretty smart. They offer a decent amount of markets and the graphics and statistics that accompany the odds are helpful.

They cover virtual sports if you’re into that, however, AK Bets don’t have markets for esports like many of their rival sportsbooks.

They do have American sports covered but their markets are fairly limited, especially for player markets. You also cannot combine picks into a bet builder which is a flaw.

User experience and interface

The user experience on AK Bets’ site is pretty decent. The site looks professional and the black, grey and orange colour scheme is simple yet effective. Their graphics and logos are all crisp and high quality too.

When you head to their site, the first thing you see is their carousel of offers and odds at the top of the page. It shows their latest odds on events ranging from football to ice hockey.

A list of their major sports is below, then it’s their ‘next off’ section for upcoming horse racing and greyhound racing in the UK and Ireland. You then get their in-play section before heading to their ‘main events’ section. It shows markets for a variety of popular sports, with football odds usually front and centre.

They also have a ‘tips’ tab at the top of their site on desktop and on the search menu on the left on mobile. They offer betting tips and value selections for football, horse racing and more.

Mobile and app compatibility

AK Bets’ desktop and mobile sites are the same. They have the same design and layout with the only minor change being the list of sports being behind a menu icon on the top left of the screen on mobile. Both sides prioritise upcoming horse races, in-play events and main events on all popular sports.

Their site is easy to navigate and their search bar is clear and simple to use. On their mobile site, you also have tabs at the bottom of the page (homepage, sports, in-play, casino and promotions).

The AK Bets app, which is available on iOS, Android and Google Play, is impressive and follows the same layout as their mobile site. The app is quick and easy to use. It has an average rating of 3.5/5 (15 reviews) on the Apple App Store.

VIP programmes and loyalty rewards

AK Bets don’t have a loyalty programme for bettors and overall they generally lack promotions and boosts. It puts them behind other bookmakers who entice bettors to keep returning to their sites.

Their only real offer is their ‘kennel club’ for greyhound racing. You can earn a free bet if you wager over £50 on greyhound racing in one day. The minimum free bet is £1 which hardly seems worth it if you ask me!
