Bwin, which was formerly known as Betandwin, is an Austrian bookmaker founded in 1997 that now has over 11 million users worldwide. They’re under the Entain umbrella, just like Ladbrokes and Coral, but how does their site compare to their rivals?

    What is Bwin all about?

    Bonuses

Deposit a minimum of £10 into your account and place a sports bet on three or more selections, at combined odds of 2/1 (3.0) or greater to qualify for this bonus. You keep the winnings if it lands but you’ll get a free bet of the same value (up to £20) if it loses.

    Available sports

Like most major bookmakers, Bwin has everything you could need in terms of markets. They’ve got in-depth football markets, and are majorly clued up on European football if you prefer that to UK action.

Most of their homepage is dominated by football and the biggest competitions coming up, whether it’s the Premier League or the Champions League. They also have niche markets on the likes of alpine skiing and water polo - something you don’t see very often.

Bwin’s in-play tab is as good as it gets in terms of sports and markets on offer and they also boast a wealth of stats on numerous sports. Their esports section is also solid, with Bwin offering markets on League Of Legends, CS2, Dota 2 and more.

Meanwhile, their American sports coverage is comprehensive and you can place ‘build a bets’ on the NFL across myriads of markets.

    User experience and interface

Bwin’s aesthetic is simple with a black and white theme. There are splashes of yellow to draw your attention too. When you initially enter the site, you’ll find an extensive range of markets to investigate, but they place their unique content like trending accas and bet builders at the forefront which is handy.

On desktop, all major markets are accessible on the banner at the top of the screen, with the most popular sports listed underneath. As well as all of the sports available, on the site, being easily accessible on the left-side menu. Additionally, there is also an A-Z tab to refine your sports betting options down by.

    Mobile and App compatibility

Bwin’s desktop and mobile websites follow a similar layout, however, it’s a black background with white writing on desktop and the other way around on mobile.

Their mobile app, which is available on iOS and Android, looks the same as the mobile site. However, due to mobile screens having less space, it is a little condensed.

Google Play Store: 3.6/5 (726 reviews)

    VIP programmes and loyalty rewards

Bwin doesn’t have a VIP rewards programme which can be an issue for many bettors. However, they do have their weekly 'Predict 5' free-to-play game which involves trying to pick correct scores for specific football games to win a share of the £5,000 prize pot. If you predict two or three scores correctly, you will be rewarded with free bets.

One of their best features is the acca boost option. It allows you to get up to 70% more on your winnings. Your acca must have three or more legs and the markets must be on American football, baseball, football, ice hockey and tennis. The minimum odds per selection is 1/4 (1.25).

    Security and fairness

Bwin’s website says they have top security including firewalls and encryptions to keep your data safe. Their games also ensure fairness and pay out through periodic analysis of the game outcomes. Return to player (RTP) calculations and random number generator (RNG) outputs are both used.

If you’re still not satisfied, you can send private messages on X, Facebook and Instagram to the Bwin customer service team. They also have a live chat and email address available to contact them with too.
