What are Vickers Bet all about?
Bonuses
Vickers Bet’s welcome offer is in line with what many competitors are offering. Saving some of their unique offers for other promotions. New customers will get a £10 free bet if they deposit and bet £10 on any sport. The qualifying bet must have minimum odds of evens (2.0) and will be valid for 14 days from being credited.
Available sports
VickersBet has markets available on all major sports, while you can also bet on niche sports including lacrosse, chess and a range of winter sports.
Their football coverage is solid enough. They have markets on all the big leagues and you can create a bet builder with your own selections.
They have the main team markets covered and some individual odds, including being able to back a player to score anytime in just the first or second half, which is an interesting feature. However, it's worth noting that they don't offer markets on player fouls or shots on target.
Their horse racing section has the basic markets you’ll require but it's fairly limited, which is disappointing considering the links to ex jockey and trainer Vickers. You can back the winner of the race, forecasts and tricasts. There aren't any ‘place’ markets which some other operators will offer racing bettors.
Vickers Bet’s in-play options are great. When I looked at the tab one afternoon there were over 150 live events to bet on. There are plenty of markets as well as statistics and graphics.
They know their stuff in terms of esports and you can place in-play bets on them too. They offer markets for League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, Rainbow Six, Kings Of Glory and more. If you're keen on esports, Vickers Bet is recommended.
If you're an American sports fan like myself, Vickers Bet is worth checking out. They're all over US sports and their American sports coverage is brilliant. There are vast markets on offer and you can combine your selections into a bet builder. You can do the same with NBA games as well.
User experience and interface
The user experience on Vickers Bet is pretty good. It isn’t anything fancy but it’s solid and the site is easy to navigate.
On their homepage, which shows off their green, yellow and white theme, popular sports are at the top of the page, while the A-Z of sports is also easily accessible. They also have a search bar next to the list of sports.
You’re then greeted with their boosted odds bet for the day before scrolling down to see their ‘highlights’, which are the main events happening over the next couple of days in football, horse racing, basketball and more. You can also see their in-play tab if you're looking for live events.
However, it’s worth noting that when you go on their racing tab, the live feed of horse racing and greyhound racing immediately plays and goes full screen when on mobile. It can be frustrating when you’re just trying to look at racecards.
Mobile and app compatibility
There are a couple of minor changes between Vickers Bet’s desktop and mobile sites but they’re pretty much the same. The A-Z of sports moves from the left of the screen on a desktop to the top of the page on mobile, while the betslip changes from a pop-up box to a tab at the bottom of the screen when using the site on mobile.
Their mobile site is user-friendly and there are tabs to home, in-play, betslip and more (which takes you to all sports, favourites, bet builder and settings) at the bottom of the page. Their boosted odds section is also more prominent on mobile too.
VickersBet’s desktop site is slightly more focused on in-play markets as you can’t miss them when you go on the homepage. On mobile, you have to head to the in-play tab. There’s also more attention to horse racing on the desktop as the markets top the site.
Their app, which is available on iOS, Android and Google Play, is basically the same as their mobile site so it’s up to user preference if you like using apps. The app has an average rating of 2.4/5 (8 reviews) on the Apple App Store and 2.1/5 (7 reviews) on the Google Play Store. But due to the very few reviews it’s not necessarily truly reflective of the app’s features.
Apple App Store: 2.4/5 (8 reviews)
Google Play Store: 2.1/5 (7 reviews)
VIP programmes and loyalty rewards
VickersBet has a 'bet club' for customers and you can earn a £5 free bet every week. If you bet £30 on sport from Monday to Sunday, with all qualifying bets being a minimum odds of evens (2.0), you’ll receive your free bet. It’ll be valid for seven days after being credited.
They also offer accumulator boosts, named ‘boost your combos’. You can get up to 77 per cent more winnings from four-fold or greater accas. Choose selections with minimum odds of 1/2 (1.5) and a 15-fold bet would see you get the maximum bonus.
