IMAGO Nathan Aspinall celebrates his win on night 10 in Manchester last week

Nathan Aspinall proved that he belongs in the Premier League darts after storming to victory in Manchester last week.

The ‘Asp’ sent Chris Dobey, Michael van Gerwen and Luke Humphries packing to claim his first nightly win of the 2025 season.

Night nine winner Stephen Bunting had an off night, losing to Luke Humphries 6-1, while Luke Littler lost to the 2024 world champion in the semi-finals.

The duo lead the standings by quite some way and look certain to qualify for the playoffs.

Only three points separate third from sixth, however, meaning the likes of Rob Cross and Van Gerwen have some work to do over the coming weeks to secure a top-four finish. But should make this week’s event and the rest of the campaign great for value bettors in 2025.

Quarter-final fixtures for night 11 in Rotterdam

Key talking points: Luke Littler can bounce back in the Netherlands this week

Prior to Berlin two weeks ago, Littler had won four titles and reached the final five weeks in a row, yet he has been pipped in the semi-final and quarter-final over the previous two weeks.

He chose to give both Players Championship events a miss this week, allowing plenty of time for rest ahead of his meeting with Cross.

The teenager has won five on the bounce against his compatriot, which include four times in the Premier League this season.

Littler perhaps couldn’t have chosen better opposition to break out of his ordinary run of form by his high standards.

Gerwyn Price takes on Aspinall in what could be a thriller. The pair met in the final back in week three, a game in which the Welshman won 6-3. He averaged over 100 in that victory, but hasn’t won a nightly title since week six in Nottingham.

Aspinall has been on a sublime run of form. Just days after winning in Manchester, he reached the final of Players Championship 13, losing narrowly to Damon Heta.

He ranks third in the league for 180s (58), scoring 3.22 per game and if he continues this impressive run in Rotterdam, expect him to rack up a few against Price.

Bunting came out of nowhere to claim victory in Berlin a couple of weeks ago and with a clash against Van Gerwen this week, he must fancy his chances of another promising run.

The Dutchman’s form has been about as unpredictable as Scottish weather. Indeed, prior to Players Championship 14 on Tuesday, he had lost in the first round in events seven, 11, 12 and 13. Every opponent was ranked 69th or lower in the world rankings to top it off.

A few years ago, it would be unthinkable that the three-time world champion would not have won a weekly title after 10 events, but here we are. If the Bunting of Berlin turns up, he surely has little chance of scooping the £10k nightly prize again.

With only seven points to his name, winning just four matches in the process, Dobey hasn’t enjoyed the best of times in the league this year.

His average of 94.32 is the lowest out of all eight players by some distance and he is joint-last when it comes to 180s, recording only 40 across his 14 matches so far.

Hardly the campaign to remember and Humphries will be keen on taking full advantage this week. He has won all three games against Dobey this season, conceding only eight legs in those victories.

Taking Littler out of the equation, the 30-year-old leads the rest of the league in 180s (62) and scoring average (99.42) across his 22 matches.

Given their respective form, Humphries might not need to get out of second gear to reach the semi-finals in Rotterdam.

FIRST’s top tip for Premier League Darts night 11

Humphries will be determined to bounce back after losing the final to Aspinall last week.

Combine this with the fact that Dobey has lost 6-1, 6-4 and 6-3 to the Englishman this season means siding with Humphries -1.5 leg handicap against Dobey at 8/13 on BetMGM is our best bet of the week.

Extra tips

Stephen Bunting to beat Michael van Gerwen  – 4/5 (BetMGM)

Yes, the Dutchman will be looking to end his 2025 Premier League season hoodoo, but he has suffered plenty of damaging defeats of late.

Back Bunting to secure just his fourth victory in the competition this week.

Gerwyn Price to average over 97.5 against Nathan Aspinall - 8/11 (BetMGM)

Price has played against Aspinall four times in the Premier League so far in 2025, averaging 100.24, 99.55, 94.46 and 100.57.

More often than not, he brings out his best against the ‘Asp’ which means averaging over 97.5 is a good value bet.

Luke Littler and Rob Cross to average over 6.5 total 180s – 4/5 (BetMGM)

Littler leads the way with a staggering 113 180s in 23 games, while Cross has 41 from just 16 matches.

If both bring their A game, then seven or more 180s has a great chance of landing.
