IMAGO Can Gerwyn Price win a third night of the Premier League darts back in his homeland?

Gerwyn Price secured yet another nightly win last week in Nottingham, continuing his fine form against Luke Littler, who he defeated 6-3 in the final.

Price has now won his previous six matches against the teenager and with the pair on course to meet in the semi-finals this week, it could be another thrilling occasion.

Elsewhere, Stephen Bunting will be looking to secure his first win of the Premier League season as he faces Chris Dobey in the first match of the evening.

With plenty of work required for Nathan Aspinall and Rob Cross to get into the top four, Cardiff has the potential to be one of the most exciting nights of the season so far.

Gerwyn Price vs Rob Cross

Key talking points: Stephen Bunting eyes his first win of the Premier League season

Bunting has been far from his best in 2025. Winning the Bahrain Masters in January is the highlight and has since lost all six of his Premier League matches. During these games, he has hit only 18 180s, ranking him 8th in the table while averaging higher than his opponent just once.

Dobey, on the other hand, ranks fifth for 180s (30) and fourth for having a higher average than his opponent (four times). Since winning Players Championship three, Dobey has won just four of his 13 matches. This match could go either way.

Luke Humphries suffered a quarter-final defeat to Littler last week, averaging 99.49 in the process. Michael van Gerwen is his opponent in Cardiff, making for an intriguing clash.

The Dutchman has yet to reach a final in the Premier League this season, falling at the semi-final stage five times. At Players Championship seven, Van Gerwen suffered yet another first round defeat, this time to the world number 111 Niko Springer.

A nightly win could give him a jolt of confidence, but Humphries should have too much firepower this week.

Nathan Aspinall has improved massively in recent weeks. He lost his first two matches but has reached two finals and a semi-final since. The ‘Asp’ averaged 94.54 and hit just two 180s during his final defeat to Littler on night five a couple of weeks ago and he will need to be better this week.

Littler’s consistency has been sublime, reaching the final in four of the six events so far, winning twice. A repeat of the Nottingham final awaits if both he and Price win their quarter-final clashes.

Rob Cross currently sits just two points outside of the playoff places, but he will have to potentially overcome Price, Littler and then Humphries to claim his first weekly victory.

The Welshman was incredible last week. He conceded just eight legs across three games, recording eight 180s while averaging 107.25 against Van Gerwen in the semi-final.

If he continues this sort of form in his homeland, he will be hard to stop indeed.

FIRST’s top tip for Premier League Darts night seven

When Humphries and Van Gerwen faced each other in week one, the Englishman won the match 6-5. Ten of his 13 matches have gone over 9.5 legs, while five of Van Gerwen’s 11 games have gone over the same figure.

While short-priced favourites can provide great value to bettors, siding with over 9.5 legs at 10/11 on BetMGM is our best bet of the week.

Extra tips

Chris Dobey most 180s against Stephen Bunting – 23/25 (BetMGM)

Dobey has hit 12 more 180s than Bunting in the Premier League this season. Last week, ‘Hollywood’ scored three 180s to Cross’ one, which saw our 4/7 tip landing.

Nathan Aspinall +3.5 leg handicap against Luke Littler  – 4/7 (BetMGM)

Littler is in a league of his own at the moment, losing just three of his previous 25 matches since claiming the UK Open crown at the start of March.

Despite this, he won't have it all of his own way against Aspinall, who has improved over the last few weeks. He led Van Gerwen 4-3 at one stage in Nottingham before losing the last three legs, and he can run Littler close on night seven.

Odds correct at the time of writing.
