Barcelona host Inter Milan in a mouthwatering Champions League semi-final clash that has all the ingredients to deliver a classic.

The hosts haven’t lost at home in 2025 across all competitions, while the visitors will be confident after beating Bayern in their own back yard.

We’ve got our Champions League semi-final tips for both first leg ties including Arsenal vs PSG - but stick right here for your in-depth look at this tasty encounter in Montjuic.

Barcelona state of play

Hansi Flick is doing a remarkable job balancing La Liga, the Copa del Rey and Champions League as his team look to finish the season with as much silverware as possible.

At home, his team have been incredibly dominant in 2025, brushing aside both Benfica and Dortmund with ease in this competition.

Barcelona have gone up a notch since the turn of the year, which is why they are the favourites to pick up another Champions League title in May. But it’s the sheer volume of goals they are scoring that will concern Inter. Keeping Flick’s side quiet is an impossible task at present.

Inter Milan state of play

Inter are in a similar situation to Barcelona as they look to win their domestic title, but they’ve also impressed throughout the Champions League, too.

Their 2-1 win at the Allianz Arena against Bayern Munich will go down as one of the best results in this year’s competition, where once again Lautaro Martinez was the star of the show.

But since that night Inter have struggled to carry the momentum on. A loss on the road to Bologna was followed by a 3-0 humiliation against arch-rivals AC Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-finals.

They’ll need to step it up once more if they are to leave Spain with any kind of result.

Key talking point: Can anyone stop Raphinha?

Barcelona’s Brazilian has been their key man. With 12 goals and seven assists from just 12 Champions League matches, the 28-year-old has even outshone Robert Lewandowski as his team has progressed throughout the competition.

Three goals against Benfica before another and two assists versus Borussia Dortmund showed how he’s virtually unstoppable this campaign - especially in the knockout stage.

Having license to drift anywhere across the front line, as well as drop deep to pick up the ball in and around the 18-yard-box, Raphinha is a menace - and Inter will have to find a way to keep him out of the match - which of course, is easier said than done.

Extra tips

Barcelona to win the match at 8/13 (Betway)

Barcelona must win their home tie if they are to put themselves in the best possible position to reach the final. Having lost 3-1 away to Dortmund in the quarters, Flick won’t want a repeat of that against Inter.

Barcelona are 8/13 to win the match, and having won all but one of their home Champions League ties (W5 D1) this is an intriguing price to back.

Team news

The big news coming out of Barcelona’s campaign is Robert Lewandowski’s hamstring injury that will keep him on the sidelines. Alejandro Balde, who has missed the last few matches, will also join him in watching on from the stands with the same issue.

Inter will also be missing one of their key forwards. Marcus Thuram has been absent for the last couple of matches due to an ongoing muscle injury, and so it’s likely that Mehdi Taremi will partner Lautaro Martinez in attack for the visitors.
