Ted's Treble: "Eaton Anne will be happy if the ground turns soft"
Ed Quigley has been in scintillating form, and is back with his three best bets from a competitive looking card at Southwell on Tuesday...

Southwell - 12.52 As Legends Have It
With Ben Pauling having his string in fine fettle at the moment, this looks a good opportunity for AS LEGENDS HAVE IT to get off the mark for the first time over fences.
Since winning his bumper, the six-year-old has placed in all five starts over Hurdles - including when third in a hot race at Cheltenham last time out, where he ran with plenty of zest. He had cheek pieces on for the first time and showed a good attitude to battle up the hill in testing ground.
The headgear is left off this time, and he drops into calmer waters here, tackling this Class 4 assignment on his Chase debut. He could easily have more to offer in this grade, and any rain that falls won't be an inconvenience. Callum Pritchard retains the ride and gets to claim 3lb, so this looks like a rock-solid combination.

Southwell - 2.52 Eaton Anne
This is a trappy encounter, and Duel Au Soleil could easily be ahead of the handicapper, but I would be nervous about taking cramped odds about him if the forecast rain arrives. Instead, I think the Olly Murphy-trained EATON ANNE is an individual who will be very happy if the ground turns soft, and by stepping up to 3m for the first time, this can unlock further improvement.
He was entitled to need the run at this venue over 2m4f last month, when he plugged on at the one pace having his first start for 212 days. There is plenty of stamina in his pedigree, and so this greater taxation on stamina should really suit with race fitness on his side.
Sean Bowen takes the ride, and this team look the value play to get back in the winner's enclosure, where eased to an official mark of 113, I think this individual is looking feasibly treated by the accessor.

Southwell - 3.23 Feet On The Ground e/w
We have a Class 5 Handicap Hurdle over 2m4f, where I think a combination of dropping to a career-low handicap mark and the step up in trip can really suit the Fergal O'Brien trained FEET ON THE GROUND. The mare has very few miles on the clock for a seven-year-old, and it is unlikely that we have seen the ceiling of her ability.
Now she has learnt to settle, she has given the impression on her last two starts that she has looked totally outpaced over the minimum distance, and so a step up to 2m4f on a flat track should really aid her cause, and it could easily unlock more improvement.
On paper, this looks slightly easier than some of her recent contests, and from an each-way point of view, she is more than capable of making her presence felt. Johnny Burke takes the ride, and this combination can get in the mix.
