Sandown - 2.25 Go Dante e/w
13/2 @ Coral
GO DANTE is two from two over course and distance, and rates a kicking each-way bet in the competitive-looking Handicap Hurdle over 2m at Sandown. Olly Murphy's charge has won the last two renewals of the Imperial Cup, so naturally appears to come alive at the Esher venue.
Soft ground is perfect for him and he is a strong stayer at the trip. The recent spin at Bangor over a longer trip will have taken the fizz out of him and got him nicely tuned up for this, where off a mark of 130, he is only 3lb higher than when scooping the big pot back in the spring. Sean Bowen takes the ride on the nine-year-old, and this combination looks to have rock-solid each-way claims here.

Aintree - 2.40 White Rhino e/w
15/2 @ William Hill
WHITE RHINO didn't manage to get involved in the Grand Sefton last month, in a race that was full of carnage, but should have a much better opportunity here. Connections suggested that this has been the target for some time and that he should have benefited from his run at the track last time out, and the step back up in trip will be in his favour.
The nine-year-old has been eased 4lb in the handicap for his exploits, and so off an official mark of 137, he is starting to look feasibly treated. Craig Nichol takes the ride, and it isn't hard to envisage a bold show from a horse who is capable of making his presence felt in this grade.
He is versatile in regard to underfoot requirements, so he won't be inconvenienced if plenty of rain arrives. It's a wide-open encounter, and White Rhino can get involved in the business end of proceedings from an each-way point of view.

Sandown - 3.35 O'Connell
11/4 @ Ladbrokes
This race looks tailor-made for O'CONNELL, who is a relentless galloper, and has stamina in abundance. The nine-year-old has winning form at the venue, and this step back up in trip will really suit. It is a case of the more rain the merrier as far as connections are concerned - he can't have it soft enough.
This is not a task that everyone will necessarily warm to over the extended 3m4f, whereas there are no such worries from Sue Smith's representative. The comeback run at Carlisle last month was a perfect pipe opener, and should have him spot-on for this encounter.
He took a massive step forward for his seasonal reappearance last season, and I expect the run to have brought him forward in a similar fashion this time around. Gavin Sheehan is riding full of confidence and takes the ride on this individual, who has winning form at Sandown.
