Royal Ascot - 2.30 Treanmor - 13/8 (Ladbrokes)
There aren't many more exciting two-year-olds than TREANMOR, and he can prove too good in this listed race. He cost a small fortune at around £1.7m, but made things look very easy when winning at Newmarket on debut.
Naturally, that novice event wasn't a strong heat, but he dispatched his rivals with the minimum of fuss, and made things look incredibly easy as he strutted his stuff in the hands of William Buick. Connections will be hoping he can live up to his hefty price tag, and I think he has the tools to go and deliver.
He could easily start as a warm favourite and give Charlie Appleby his first win in this race since Pinatubo in 2019. If we see something really exciting, I wouldn't be shocked - there is something about him which suggests he might have the X-Factor. I am looking forward to this race immensely.

Royal Ascot - 3.40 Inisherin - 4/1 (Coral)
It has been a little bit start-stop for INISHERIN at times, but he has the edge in my view, and I was very encouraged by his comeback win at York.
He may have only scrambled home by a neck last time out, but that was his first start of the season, and his first start after undergoing a wind operation, so he has to be taken seriously coming back to this track with that ring-rust removal job under his belt. The Kevin Ryan-trained four-year-old won the Commonwealth Cup at this meeting 12 months ago, goes on any ground, and should be brought to the peak for this race.
William Buick takes the ride for the first time, and I think this combination have sensational claims of notching yet another Group 1 at a track which has served the horse well in the past.

Royal Ascot - 5.00 Jarraaf e/w - 9/1 (Ladbrokes)
JARRAAF has the course form in the book, and gets the vote from me in a competitive affair. The four-year-old loves quick ground, and has to be taken seriously at a track where his course and distance form reads 112.
The Owen Burrows-trained representative has been knocking on the door in listed and group company in recent times, and should find life easier here, slipping back into Handicap company off a mark of 105. From stall 12, the colt will have options of where to go if necessary, and this strong travelling sort should be well suited to the demands of this race.
Billy Loughnane is in the saddle, and I can see him running a huge race - being delivered late for a yard that has been in fine fettle in June, operating at around a 25% strike-rate. In a race full of many unknowns, Jarraaf gets the each-way shout with everything in his favour.
Don't forget, Ed will be back on Tuesday with his best bets for the afternoon's action.
