Royal Ascot - 3.05 Babouche - 9/2 (Ladbrokes)
I like the claims of the Ger Lyons-trained BABOUCHE. She is a lightly-raced sort who was a Group 1 winner as a two-year-old, and has been very consistent since. She put in a nice display when winning well in a Group 3 at Naas, where she looked happy back over a full 6f.
She looks to be coming to the boil at the right time, and with underfoot conditions in her favour a big run can be expected. Collin Keane who has been having an enjoyable week takes the ride, and this combination looks to have rock solid credentials.
On official ratings, she has a class edge over nearly all her rivals, and I am looking forward to seeing her strut her stuff in what will be a fast and furious encounter.

Royal Ascot - 4.20 Falakeyah - 5/2 (Betway)
There is something very exciting about the unbeaten FALAKEYAH, who is two from two, and has the potential to go right to the very top. She absolutely bolted up on debut at Wolverhampton, making her opposition look silly.
She didn't run again as a two-year-old, and reappeared in the Listed Pretty Polly Stakes over 10f, and showed great speed to seal the deal. She was a non-runner in the French Oaks - which was her next intended ploy - due to a minor hiccup, but is now back in full flow at home, according to my connections, and has been supplemented to this.
Given the gears she has displayed to date, I do think a drop back to 1m on a stiff track will really help, as she can travel off a strong pace and then her stamina can kick in during the hard yards. Jim Crowley is in the saddle for the Owen Burrows team, and she is one of my strongest fancies of the week, with fast ground for her to tackle, which should be spot-on looking at her breeding.

Royal Ascot - 5.35 Opportunity e/w - 14/1 (Ladbrokes)
Everything that could have gone wrong, did go wrong for the William Haggas-trained OPPORTUNITY at Goodwood last time out. A winner at Haydock in April despite looking green, and then was pitched into Listed company for the Cocked Hat stakes when getting no luck at all in-running, and was very badly hampered at the 2f marker, and that was game over after that.
James Doyle was very sympathetic and gave Opportunity time to recover and get home without too much hardship in the aftermath. The step up to 1m4f should really suit, and with no in-running tomfoolery this time, he looks capable of expressing his true colours in this company. The market seems to have ignored him to an extent, and I can see this combination running a big race from an each-way point of view.
He is reopposing Amiloc once again, but I think the discrepancy in their prices is wrong, and there isn't as much in it as the market would lead you to believe.
