Ted's Treble: A Saturday Sandown sizzler awaits
While the excitement of Royal Ascot grows louder and louder ahead of 17 June, we have an exclusive interview with jockey David Egan who rode Coronation Stakes hopeful Kon Tiki next week.
But before then, we have a big weekend of racing and Ed ‘Longshot Ted’ Quigley offers his best bets ahead of some sizzlers at Sandown and a corker from York.

This is a trappy encounter, but I am going to my chances that Sandown's stiff finish can offset any sluggish start from the gates, and TRIBAL CHIEF must come into the equation here. This individual is very talented on his day and a stiff 1m could be absolutely spot-on for him.
He ran a cracking race in the circumstances when runner-up on seasonal reappearance at Newmarket.
After his customary tardy start, he really picked up in the closing stages and fairly hit top gear inside the hard yards in order to pick up the silver medal.
The experiment over 10f back-fired when weakening to finish well beaten at Longchamp last time out, and a strongly run 1m looks much more his bag.
Harry Davies is on board for the David Menusier team, and keep your eyes on the weather - the more rain the merrier for this 4-year-old who could easily have more to offer off a mark of 91, especially if the ground ends up on the slow side.

This looks like a golden opportunity for STAR OF MEHMAS to get back in the winners' enclosure. The filly was very productive in her 2-year-old campaign as she rose through the ranks, winning three races on the bounce - including at Listed level on her final start as a Juvenile.
She has hit the crossbar so far this term, perhaps not quite seeing out 6f at Chelmsford on her comeback.

Then she did everything but win when beaten on the line at York last time out where she kept finding more on the front-end, only to be denied by a head.
A track like Sandown should see her in even better light, and there will be no excuses from Stall 2 with Ryan Moore in the saddle.
She doesn't have many miles on the clock and should still have plenty more to offer at this level. It is hard to boot her out of the frame and this Richard Hughes trained individual looks to have major claims of notching another success.

ALSAKIB gets the vote in what is a small but select field for this Listed assignment. Five horses are due to go to post and there isn't much to seperate the 'big four' in the market, but this race could be perfect for Alsakib.
The Andrew Balding team have really hit top stride in the last couple of weeks, and this race could be coming at the perfect time for the son of Kingman.
The 5-year-old shaped as though he needed the run when down the field over course and distance on his seasonal reappearance - and that was in a Group 2, so should find this much easier to cope with, as a previous Group 3 victor himself.
He has winning form at the track and is versatile in regards to underfoot conditions so he has a lot of boxes ticked.
James Doyle takes the ride, it wouldn't be a shock to see this combination back in the winning groove in what is a cracking little race.
