Ted's Weekend Treble: Three picks from Carlisle
We have a belter of a card at Carlisle on Sunday, and Ed Quigley is back with his best bets for the afternoon's action.

Carlisle - 12.32 First Confession e/w
Joe Tizzard is not hiding the fact that he really rates FIRST CONFESSION as a horse to follow over fences this season, and this lightly-raced six-year-old can take his game to new levels over larger obstacles.
First Confession came unstuck at the highest level last season, but had valid excuses, including when pulling muscles in the Challow Hurdle. He was over the top by the time the Cheltenham Festival came along, but did manage two very smart wins at Ascot.
This looks a good starting point, and it would be far from a surprise if he were to prove better than an official mark of 129, especially when you consider that his future was always going to lie over fences.
Brendan Powell takes the ride, and this exciting prospect could easily be ready to pounce first time out for the season, with the potential of much more to come.

Carlisle - 2.02 Personal Ambition e/w
Things didn't really click for PERSONAL AMBITION over fences, but he looks to have a solid each-way chance back over Hurdles here. The Ben Pauling-trained six-year-old ran in some hot contests last season, and should find this a bit easier as he gets to run off a mark of 131.
Trip and track should suit, and underfoot conditions should be absolutely spot-on for him. The yard are in good form, and Personal Ambition is a horse with a good record when fresh, so this looks a good opportunity for him to come here firing on all cylinders.
Ben Jones takes the ride, and I think a big performance can be expected from this individual who is still far from exposed in this sphere. You can read my interview with Ben Pauling here to get more insights.

Carlisle - 2.37 Handstands
We have just five runners due to go to post in the Colin Parker Memorial, but this looks a cracking little contest, where on these terms, it is hard to oppose the Ben Pauling-trained HANDSTANDS.
He is the class act in the field, and although he has to concede weight all round, he looks as though he will take all the beating in this company. Trip and ground should be fine for him, and he can use this as a springboard to success, as he no doubt will be tackling bigger assignments further down the line and over a longer trip.
The Betfair Chase and Coral Gold Cup will come under the spotlight if he can tick off this race with no problems. Ben Jones is on board, and I expect Handstands to stamp his authority on the field here.
