Arsenal transfer odds: Mikel Arteta chasing Rodrygo and Viktor Gyokeres

Despite battling for silverware across domestic and European competitions, Arsenal endured a fifth successive trophyless campaign in 2024/25.

Many attribute the Gunners’ failures to a lacking front line – as none of the north London outfit’s goalscorers achieved double-digits.

Now, with Mikel Arteta under significant pressure to deliver a first major honour since 2020’s FA Cup victory over Chelsea, the 43-year-old will seek to remedy his side’s longstanding issues in front of goal.

The UK’s best bookmakers anticipate a busy transfer window at the Emirates this year – listing Arsenal as strong favourites to land a slate of high-profile forwards…

Benjamin Sesko – 1/5 (Ladbrokes)

RB Leipzig are renowned for developing young players and moving them on for big money – with 22-year-old Benjamin Sesko the latest to attract notable attention across Europe’s elite.

Having notched 21 goals and six assists in 45 outings spanning all competitions, the Slovenian attacker accrued double-digit scoring figures for the fourth season running.

Arsenal stand as huge favourites to sign Sesko this summer – priced at 1/5 by William Hill, Ladbrokes and Betfred.

Rodrygo – 3/1 (BetVictor)

Primarily a right-winger, Real Madrid’s Rodrygo stands as one of Arsenal’s crown targets as the north London team endeavours to bolster its attacking prowess.

While William Hill (6/4), Ladbrokes (1/1) and Coral (1/1) present Arsenal as a likely destination for the 24-year-old, it is BetVictor’s 3/1 that supplies the best value.

The Brazilian international scored 14 goals and provided nine assists during last season; outperforming each of Kai Havertz, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in terms of goal contributions.

Viktor Gyokeres – 3/1 (Ladbrokes)

Sweden’s 27-year-old striker made headlines throughout 2024/25 – bagging 54 goals in 52 appearances.

Those figures follow a strong 2023/24 campaign, which comprised 43 goals and 14 assists. In both seasons, he played an instrumental role in returning Sporting Lisbon to Liga Portugal glory.

A skirmish for his services is expected to drag on until mid-to-late summer – with Arsenal in prime position to agree a deal. BetVictor, Ladbrokes and bet365 all forecast Arteta to push for the former Coventry City front-man; priced at 3/1.

Leroy Sane – 4/1 (bet365)

Blistering pace and sleek dribbling abilities have made Leroy Sane one of Europe’s most feared wingers over the last decade. Having played a pivotal role in several of Manchester City’s title-winning campaigns, the German attacker now plies his trade at Bayern Munich.

Yet, at 29-years-old, Sane has somewhat fallen out of favour at the Allianz Arena. He has thus far rejected proposals to renew his contract with the Bavarian giants – allowing Arsenal to snap him up for free from 30 June. At 4/1 with bet365, this is a solid value proposition.

Aleksander Isak – 12/1 (BetMGM)

Another Swedish stalwart, Aleksander Isak’s consistency in front of goal has cemented him as one of Europe’s most potent attacking threats over the last five years.

Newcastle’s qualification for Champions League football in 2025/26 has done little to dissuade strong rumours about his future – and Arsenal sit at 12/1 with BetMGM to acquire his signature in this summer’s transfer window. Expect a fierce battle with Liverpool, including a potential bidding war, if Isak opts to move on.
