IMAGO: Ted serves up a treble for Day 1 of Cheltenham's November Meeting

Cheltenham is back with the November Meeting! The action returns to the home of National Hunt racing and Ed Quigley serves up his best three bets for the day.

Don't forget, you can already get my picks for Day 2 of the November Meeting

Cheltenham - 1.10 As Legends Have It e/w

11/1 @ William Hill

This is ultra competitive and gloriously wide-open, so a case can be made for quite a few individuals here.

As an each-way player from the foot of the weights, I like the claims of the unexposed AS LEGENDS HAVE IT who has untapped potential off a lowly mark of 113.

The six-year-old doesn't have many miles on the clock and could easily have more to offer here for a yard who are in scintillating form at present. The cheek pieces go on for the first time, and this step up to 2m5f on soft ground looks tailor-made for him.

In a race with such a wide-open makeup to it, I like the profile of this sort who can get involved at the business end of proceedings here.

Cheltenham - 2.55 L'Eau Du Sud

10/3 @ Betfred

L'EAU DU SUD is a horse who is versatile in regards to ground requirements, and has a touch of class, so could easily serve it up to Jonbon.

Nicky Henderson's star has won this race for the last two years, but rising 10 could be vulnerable to an improver, and you could argue that Jonbon isn't quite as good at Cheltenham compared to other tracks.

L'Eau Du Sud has some very good course form and is a smart jumper, so could easily serve it up to Jonbon for all that - on official figures, he has a mountain to climb. As a seven-year-old, he has plenty of upside, and it isn't hard to envisage him running a big race here with the yard in such fine fettle.

Cheltenham - 3.30 Great Fleet e/w

11/2 @ Ladbrokes

Dan Skelton has his string in cracking form, and the each-way play here looks to be the unexposed GREAT FLEET who won't mind the forecast rain that is arriving.

The five-year-old has run well on both starts this season, finishing runner-up behind Conman John on both occasions. However, from what we saw last time out, coming back to 2m5f looks a wise move, as he travelled so strongly over 3m at Prestbury Park in October, only to wilt slightly up the hill.

He was a bit keen in the early exchanges and ultimately that really told. The form of that defeat is working out well, and he comes into this with a very solid chance.

His win in a Market Rasen bumper was on slow ground, so underfoot conditions should be fine. The Skelton yard is firing on all cylinders and a bold show is expected.
