Ted's Treble: Warwick and Wincanton picks

IMAGO: Ted's off to Wincanton and Warwick
IMAGO: Ted's off to Wincanton and Warwick

Ed Quigley has been amongst the winners and continues to look for the value on Thursday afternoon.

Warwick - 1.10 Audacious Annie

With Jamie Snowden continuing to fire in the winners at a terrific rate, as the Lambourn handler has been touching nearly 40% for November.

AUDACIOUS ANNIE has been a little bit of a slow burner this season, but eased to a mark of 110, I think she looks well handicapped. The cheek pieces go on for the first time, and she steps up in trip to 2m5f. It is worth noting that she absolutely bolted up on her only previous visit to the venue, so that bodes well, and it would be far from a shock if there were more to come from this unexposed individual in this grade.

Gavin Sheehan is a jockey full of confidence at the moment, and this combination could easily get back on the winning trail here.

Warwick - 1.45 Hillcrest

It is a shame that injury robbed us of seeing the very best of HILLCREST, as he looked one of the best prospects in the game back in 2022.

A major setback in the aftermath of the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle that year saw him spend a lengthy spell on the sidelines, and he is now trying to make up for lost time.

This big, imposing individual is yet to click in his four starts over fences so far, but in hindsight faced some almost impossible tasks last season, mixing it with the likes of Handstands, Iroko and Haiti Couleurs - horses who have aspirations of winning at the top level this season.

The handicapper has been favourable, and Hillcrest has dropped from a rating of 144 (Chase debut) down to 130 as he heads into a Veteran's company for the first time. If he shows any of his old spark here, then he could give his rivals plenty to think about. David Bass takes the ride for the Henry Daly team.

Wincanton - 3.20 Imperial Jade

This is an opportunity for IMPERIAL JADE to make her presence felt as she drops into much calmer waters here. She struggled as she was entitled to do when sent off as the outsider of the quartet at Chepstow last time out in a Listed assignment, and trailed home in last position.

However, in a Handicap Chase off 106 she is at a level where she can really make an impact, and the booking of Harry Cobden is clearly a big tick in the box. The cheek pieces go on for the first time, and it wouldn't be a shock if she put in an improved display here.

She is very lightly raced, and any rain that falls won't be an inconvenience for the Charlie Longsdon-trained representative who gets the nod from me here.

Ted's Treble for Thursday

Warwick - 1.10 Audacious Annie

Warwick - 1.45 Hillcrest

Wincanton - 3.20 Imperial Jade
